FINCA JJ ESTATE

Our vineyards are located in Las Casuarinas, in Tulum Valley, Province of San Juan, in the western part of Argentina. Finca Del Enlace’s estate, at 750 m above sea level, cover a 2200-hectare area, within which 325 hectares are cultivated. Dark-skinned grape varieties such as Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tannat, Petit Verdot, Bonarda, Aspirant Bouchet, Marcelan, and Ancellotta represent nearly 95 percent of our vineyard plantings. White-grape varieties like Chardonnay, Viognier, Torrontes Riojano, and Sauvignon Blanc account for the remaining 5 percent.

The Finca JJ Estate potential productivity is 7 million kilos of grapes per year, equivalent to 4 million liters of wine.

We produce wines with and excellent price-quality rate, thanks to a productive engineering based on pillars: the single-wire trellis as an innovative vine-training system, and an efficient irrigation management to produce expressive, easy-drinking wine with good typicity, round tannins, excellent color, and a pleasant fruit aroma.

PRODUCTIVE ENGINEERING

Finca del Enlace was the first winery in the area to adopt the single wire trellis (SW) as an agronomic technique for the sustainable management of the vineyard.

SW, originally from Australia, helps vines to grow freely, and achieve an ideal balance between grape quantity and leaf area. In addition, SW adapts perfectly to the mechanization of plant handling and harvesting.

Loose and well-aired foliage means grape health, color, and a harmonic balance of tannins. We rigurously control the hydratation of the vines through pressurized irrigation all over the growing process. This is how we preserve the fruit properties for harvestime while ensuring its enological maturation.

Finca del Enlace pioneered the use of single-wire system as an agronomic technique for the sustainable maintenance of the vineyard.
